- Starting Points: Greece/Rhodes: Heraklion
- Route 1 Rhodes Old Town
We will start our tour with a drive around the walls of the Old Town of Rhodes – the biggest inhabited medieval town in Europe. It was built in 1300s from the knights of the order of St. John. The Medieval Town of Rhodes is inscribed in the World Heritage Sites List of UNESCO. This list recognizes the exceptional value of a cultural site so that it may be protected for the benefit of all Humanity.
If you want we can extend the duration of the tour with 1 hour and you can have also some free time to go through the Old town and explore it on your own.
- Route 2 Mandraki Harbor - Colossos Area and Annunciation Church
After the Old town, we will continue towards the new part of the town and visit the Mandraki port where once stood the famous Colossus of Rhodes – one of the seven wonders of the Ancient world. The Colossus was a big statue of the god of the sun – Helios and it stood for 56 years when an earthquake destroyed it. We will stop for pictures of the area and you can also enter and see the Church of the Annunciation which is the biggest Orthodox church in the town with very beautiful handmade paintings on the walls and impressive chandeliers.
- Route 3 Northern point of the island and Monthe Smith Hill
From there we will pass and see the Northern point of the island where the Aegean sea and Mediterranean sea are meeting each other and then we will stop for a panoramic view of the city from the Monthe Smith Hill.
- Route 4 Acropolis of Rhodes
The Acropolis of Rhodes, an active archaeological site, is also one of the most accessible ancient sites on the island. The undisputed star of the acropolis is the grand Temple of Apollo, exquisitely restored and partially reconstructed as part of Monte Smith Park, which crowns the hill. Other notable ruins include the remnants of Roman odeon, the Temple of Athena Polias and Zeus Polieus, and traces of a 3rd-century BC stadium.
- Route 5 Lindos
Lindos is probably the most popular resort on the island of Rhodes, The village, once the capital of the island, today is an attractive holiday resort evolving around the picturesque, whitewashed, preserved medieval village, topped with a fortified ancient Acropolis, reached through a series of steps, which can be ascended on donkeys.
- Route 6 Pottery factory - upon request
On our way to Lindos, we can also include a stop to a pottery factory where you will be able to see how beautiful ceramics are made. Rhodes has a long history of pottery going back many centuries at least to the time of the ancient cities. Replicas of designs produced in those times are still been manufactured today together with new modern designs in a younger generation. Vivid colors, especially blue, feature strongly as do certain motifs which are uniquely Rodian, the pomegranate flower and the stylized deer.
- Route 7 Panoramic View of Lindos and St. Paul's Bay
Before the village of Lindos, we will stop for a panoramic photo and a visit to the picturesque st. Paul’s Bay is also included. This beach is one of the most beautiful on the island with a stunning view.
- Route 8 Acropolis of Lindos
From the outside, the Acropolis does not betray its Hellenistic origins because the original complex was surrounded by a strong fortification in the Middle Ages by the Knights of St John, but inside are the Doric Stoa, propylaean ruins, the sanctuary of Athena and the Byzantine church of St John. The ruins of an ancient theatre have been discovered on the slope below the Acropolis.

There will be two different tour type. Group tour and Private tour. On Private tours, you get a specific service according to confirmed plan for you/your party.

How about the transportation?
When you book your tour with a van, you will be picked up from hotel, be transferred to the sights and then back to hotel. Otherwise, once you meet your tour guide at your hotel, you will be advised the best option for transportation such as taxi or tram.

Our daily regular/scheduled group tours are organized in English. But if the number of your party is more than 10 persons you can ask for a tour guide in other languages. On the other hand, Private Tours can be organized in English, Spanish, German, Arabic, Russian and more etc.

On group tours we use touristic restaurants which has open buffet. On private tours we use local restaurants which has a specific menu.

Am I traveling with a group?
No. You will be traveling independently on the regular transports according to your choice (Plane/Bus) but you will be with a small group only on local tours at the chosen areas this gives you an opportunity to meet different people through your stay. On the other hand, a private tour organization is always an option.
